5 Tips How To Create A Website Blog

Blogging is becoming more and more popular within the Online World. Follow these tips on how to create a website blog and make it a cut above the rest.

To find an easy strategy to get overnight success isn’t that simple and success doesn’t happen overnight.

It takes hard work and consistency.

If there were an easy solution everyone would be doing it, so if your blog isn’t living up to your expectations don’t fret, keep working at it, time is of the great essence.

5 Tips For Successful Blogging

Tip 1. Consistency
be consistent

Publishing articles consistently is gold to the search engines. You don’t have to publish every single day but if you get into the habit of posting 2/3 times a week this shows the search engines a consistency in your dedication to your blog and will aid in better rankings.

New quality content on a regular basis is exactly what search engines crave for and your readers will be more inclined to return to your blog for more of the information you are churning out

Tip 2. AestheticsAesthetics

A nice looking website is key to keeping your readers engaged. Keep it simple and uncluttered.

There’s nothing worse for a reader to try to fathom out where your content is amongst all the adverts and paraphernalia that has very little to do with the article they want to read. It is also the fastest way of getting a reader to hit the back button.

The most successful sites are clean simple and straight to the point. Don’t over clutter to gain a few extra pennies.

Make your images relevant to the post in hand.

The colours that you use on your site will also have a large bearing on the audience you attract. This may sound rather insignificant to you, but colour psychology plays a very important role in the success of a good website.

Tip 3. Patience

The most important tip I give to anyone starting out in the Online World is “This will not happen overnight”.

You will have to be patient with the search engines. Just because you may think that you have written a beautiful piece of work and you publish it, that you are going to find it on page 1 of Google the following day. It just does not happen like that.

New websites can take weeks to get established within the search engines.

Consider this, there are over 180,000,000 websites that are being crawled by the search engines every day, what makes you think that yours is going to be any more special than anyone else’s.

It is true that once you have an established site, say 1/2 years old and posting regularly then your posts could get ranked very quickly, but as you start out have a little bit of patience and everything will be fine.

Tip 4. Repeat what works
rinse wash repeat

Google has a great system in letting you know what is working for you and what isn’t.

You should already have a Google Analytics account, if you haven’t then I suggest you sign up for one right now, it’s free and very informative for how your website is being portrayed by viewers.

Scan through your Analytics and see where you are scoring the best views. See what subjects people are most interested in and concentrate on delivering more of the same.

Tip 5. Writing for your audience

write for your audience
Keep your readers engaged and interested in what you are trying to get across to them.
It is human beings you are writing for not search engines.

Filling your blog with lengthy uninteresting text is a surefire way of losing a reader.

The best way I can describe this is that you should write as you speak

Try to imagine you have a friend or member of the family sitting opposite you and you are explaining to them the subject that you are writing about. Type away as if you are talking to them. You will find that your blog much more natural in the way you write and a lot more interesting.

I hope these points will help you going forward. Blogging can be so much fun if you enjoy what you do.
