Before we ask what is the best Keyword Research Tool For SEO, we need to establish
What is a keyword?
You’ve used a search engine before ie: google, bing, yahoo apart from the many more, but for this example, I am going to concentrate on Google.
Google is the most widely used search engine in the world capturing over 65% of the total searches that are carried out on the internet.
So when you search for something on the internet you go to Google and type a word or words and Google gives you a variety of suggestions matching your search.
These are keywords.
These are mini descriptions of what you want information on and depending on how narrow you want your search to be you can add additional words.
For example, let’s take Smartphone.
You would type into the search bar Smartphone, but say you were looking for a particular make of smartphone.
Samsung smartphone or Nokia smartphone or LG smartphone, these would become your keywords.
So Keywords can become as broad or as narrow as you wish to make them.
Ok, that seems pretty straightforward I hear you say so why would I need a keyword research tool to find any such keyword?
The answer is to find the best converting Keywords for your business.
Just by adding one word to your search could make a whole lot of difference in how many sites/pages you are competing against.
Just in this instance:
Samsung galaxy s5 mini case 4,690,000 results.
Official Samsung galaxy s5 mini case 783,000 results.
By just adding the word Official you reduce the competition by almost 4,000,000 search results.
So finding keywords/phrases that are highly converting can be a daunting task and very time-consuming if you haven’t got the right tool to do the job.
The Purpose Of Keyword Research.
There are 4 important factors when looking for a highly relevant keyword, and for the purpose of this article, I will show you the that I use from my recommended Keyword Research Program Jaaxy.
These are the Monthly searches from all search engines.
The amount of traffic expected if you rank on page 1 of Google.
3.Quoted Search Results (QSR)…
This one is the best competition factor for any keyword.
it will pick up all information from search engines to let you know the exact number of pages that are competing for that exact keyword.
Ideally, it is better to look for around 300. lower is better slightly higher no problem, but going over 400 is best left alone.
4.Keyword Quality Index (KQI)….
This will give you an instant idea of the keyword Quality. Green Great, Yellow Not Bad, Red Don’t Touch
SEO Search Engine Optimization.…….
This will tell you immediately whether or not a keyword is going to get you good SEO rankings.
Rankings earn you money online…it as simple as that!
The optimization is based on the traffic the keyword will attract, the nature of the keyword, the competition involved, and the pure quality of the keyword.
Another great feature of Jaaxy is the ability to find a domain name for that keyword. Just click on the Domain tab and it will immediately let you know which domains are available.
